[OT] the OS win xp sp2 doesn't recognize dvd +rw

hi guys, sorry for my English, i have a LG dvd writer, it recognize dvd+rw.
all went fine the OS recognized dvd+rw, but from yesterday it doesn't go
well, the OS doesn't recognize the blank dvd+rw, the dvd writer recognize
them!, the question is why win recognize the burned dvd+rw and the blank
dvd+rw.
i hope you understand my English, and i hope that somebody have an aswear
for me.

I had the same problem using Windows XP Pro. "My Computer" would show Drive
H: as a "TDK DVD/CD RW" up until I installed a blank DVD R in the drive, then
"My Computer" would only show it as a CD RW. I found that if I used a third
party program, (Nero,) it would still write to the DVD. Even though Windows
XP listed it as a CD RW, it still recognized the drive as a DVD RW.

dvd identifier show me the real disk (dvd+rw), but when i run nero it tells
"periferal not ready", the same thing from "my computer" E: or D: periferal
not ready.
i don't know why, holy ...
