OT (sort off) Path statement

Hi All,
Was wondering how to add a folder to my path statement......

Well actually I know of the old way to do it. Drop to DOS and type path=
(folder) or it can be added to the autoexec.bat file....

What I'm concerned with is when I drop to DOS prompt now and type path, it
displays a long list of files and folders. Will these be deleted or ignored,
if I simply add the path statement to my autoexec.bat file or something???

Open up the System Properties (Windows Key+Pause Key), or use the Control
Panel.

Goto the Advanced Tab, Then to Environment Variables. within that is System
Variables, and again within that is the path which you can edit.

Hope this helps.

Control Panel - System - Advanced and at the bottom, click
'Environmental variables'. Select Path and Edit, adding to the end.

Not that most XP applications get their own 'personal' Paths set up in
the registry and do not need this. Between that, and setting Starts in
in the Properties of a shortcut to the program, there is really not much
need to add to Path these days
