OT: recommendation for CD drive question

Is there a recommendation for a newsgroup for W98 issues with a HP CD
writer drive that stops working just after making copies?

I have posted to microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion, they don't seem
too interested in this type of question.

Have you tried websites: Hardware Hot Talk, Virtual Doctor, Techimo, Sysopt,
etc.??? Some good hardware geeks frequent there.

Did you try in alt.comp.periphs.cdr ??

That's the one I go to questions about CD and DVD roms and rws. Also,
alt.comp.hardware is a good one.

I just got a good answer on microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion, that
internal CD writers do not need drivers, that opens a new path of inquiry.
Did you try in alt.comp.periphs.cdr ??
I will try that other ng, thanks.
