OT MS Antispyware

Sorry, couldn't find the appropriate group to post in.

I have/had MS Antispyware. I just went to run it, came up that it expired
12/31/05. I clicked on the link
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/default.mspx to update. I
uninstalled previous version, clicked through the process and installed the
new version. The new version in supposed to be good through July, but, the
old version downloads. I go to run it, and comes up it expired 12/31/05.
I've uninstalled 3X and tried.

Is it MS hasn't updated the new version?

I suggest posting your problem in one of the MS AS News Groups such as...

news://privatenews.microsoft.com/microsoft.private.security.spyware.install

or

news://privatenews.microsoft.com/microsoft.private.security.spyware.general

To access the group you need to authenticate using...

User Name: privatenews\spyware
Password: spyware

Thanks Carey,

This was one of the pages that came up through my click through. So, I
tried again without uninstalling the antispyware first. It brought up a box
with choice of to uninstall or update. I clicked update, then went to run
the program and it came up it expired on 12/31/05. Hmmph! ) So, I
uninstalled once again, and tried it again, this time everything a/ok.
Fifth time was a charm.
