Agreed. The video above was faked. There was a TV show (Braniac) that surrounded
a single egg by something like a million mobile phones and it didn't cook at all.

i could probably cook it with my laptop :)

People have tried using CPU for cooking you know! lol

If you look around the net you will find references..

Ok it is fake, and funny..

however...as (also) an animator, I helped create a documentary about the
effects of mobile phones on the human head. Indeed heating occurred in the
brain in the area near the ear, and on the eye.

But heat is the least of the problems. It is the microwave energy that
effects the function of the nerve cells in the brain.
I can tell you from personal experience that if I talk for some time on my
mobile I get dizzy... very dizzy!
I am trying to avoid using it.. but I have to talk with clients when I am on
the road.. and you know
how it is with tech problems.. it can go on forever....

The so called "hands free" is not a solution because the cable works like an
antenna.

Eggs don't have brain cells (unless it has developed to a chick that is
;-)). And I have seen experiments
that use microwave waves to produce various effects on the function of the
brain. Some are dangerous too.

Now a good experiment would be to have that phone on while the chick was
developing.. I am afraid
that the thing that would crawl out of that shell would be.... scary!

So haven't there been studies that show how dangerous it is? Well there have
been studies,
but most of them have been paid for by the same people who make the mobile
phones...
so you can understand what's happening....
They also make sure the independent studies are buried... can you imagine
the money involved?

Yes yet another conspiracy theory from yours truly...

Oh... I am sure Al and Q will come ranting about what I just said...
:)

It would be a great suprise for them to agree with me just once! LOL

how about trimming your quotings within your postings, please?

THX in advance for your kind understanding.

Be correct just once and I'll agree with you just once.

The brain has no RF detectors, so the only thing it can detect from RF
(or any EM) energy is the heating effect. Maybe if it was bombarded
by a few kilowatts of LOW frequency energy (something near the alpha
wave frequency) ...

John Jay Smith

Be correct just once and I'll agree with you just once.

Nope, the story will go on forever like this:

I will keep telling you the truth, actual facts that seem controversial to
you.
You will your wrong set of beliefs and denial of learning new things will
debunk them.

You have a debunker mentality.. you never want to open your mind to other
possibilities...

but you will reject this too.. so whats the use?

Its one thing to tell something to a person that is capable of listening and
learning....
and its another case to tell something to someone who never wants to learn.

You are a lost case.. because he who does not want to learn will never
learn.
unless you change.... but change needs another state of mind...

I see very little hope... sorry... its not my fault.

J

John Jay Smith

at least!!!! do a Google search about what I claim....
your debunking attitude is such that it paralyses your
finger muscles and want to blabber on with nonsense before learning the
facts...

Google is there.. why dont you use it?.. dont believe me.. do you own
research then talk...

J

John Jay Smith

a simple 10 second movement of my fingers on my keyboard led me to this
page.. but there is lots more if you search

http://www.relfe.com/cellphones_brain_cancer.html
and
http://www.cancer-health.org/Brain_cancer.html

I see a pattern here. I never come to you and say you are wrong about
anything.

I post something, and you "the debunker" comes telling me that I am wrong.

You do this without taking the time to do a stupid Google search...

your mind is programmed so much into wrong beliefs that you cannot even
accept the notion
that what you think you know is wrong.

WAKE UP!

Nope, the story will go on forever like this:

I will keep telling you the truth

So far all you've done is made fantastic claims and presented
absolutely no evidence to back them up.
You have a debunker mentality.. you never want to open your mind to other
possibilities...

I'm a skeptic - I don't believe fantastic claims without fantastic
evidence. I certainly don't accept them with no evidence at all.
but you will reject this too.. so whats the use?

Since this particular claim been PROVED to be bunk, of course I will.
I'm not like you, believing everything that it feels good to believe.
(And your claim that free energy is possible is false on its face.
Free from the need to use an electromagnetic or photovoltaic
generator? Sure. Free of any cost whatsoever? Nonsense. Human
labor is never free.)

A

Al Klein

at least!!!! do a Google search about what I claim....

That totally no-cost-at-all energy is possible? No need. It's not
possible until "cost", as a concept, is eliminated. Unless you want
slavery or you know people who like to work for free.

Your claim that the brain can receive electromagnetic energy?
disproved many times.

So which claim that's not impossible do you want me to check?

J

John Jay Smith

ok mr skeptic

http://www.relfe.com/cellphones_brain_cancer.html

"Italian scientists have recently demonstrated that cell phone
radiation makes cancerous cells grow aggressively" Well, what they
proved is that radiation *similar to* cellular phone radiation can
affect tumor cells. But we already knew that - we've been using
radiation to cure cancer for decades. they didn't show that the brain
can receive microwave radiation. (We know that EM radiation causes
heat in animal cells - so what? We've known it for tens of thousands
of years - ever hear of sunlight? That also causes cancer, but the
brain can't receive it directly.)

One problem - cell phones don't transmit on the resonant frequency of
the water molecule, so the basic assumption - that cellular radiation
does something similar to microwave oven radiation - is total
nonsense. But since they said something like it, you believe it.

"1 hour a day X 365 days a year = 365 hours
365 hours X 3 watts (a cellular phone transmits a MAXIMUM of 0.2
watts, and almost all of that goes somewhere other than into your
body) = 1095 watts in one year
1095 watts X 10 years = 10959 watts."

First, the amount of radiation absorbed by the body (the figures are
on the FCC's web site) is about 0.002 watts, not 3 watts, so the
amount of radiation absorbed in 10 years is 0.73 watts per year, or
7.3 watts in 10 years.

Second - the effects aren't cumulative - this isn't radioactivity. The
heating effect (that's the only effect on the body - read the web
site) - ASSUMING that the radiation was at the resonant frequency of
the water molecule (which it isn't) is almost nill - put your hand on
a 2 milliwatt incandescent bulb (there isn't any bulb that small,
because you couldn't detect the light it gave off) and you'd never
feel any heat. It's more dangerous to stand 10 feet from a dog - that
101 degree body temperature is heating your cells a lot more than the
2 milliwatts you're absorbing from your cell phone.

Now, John, if you think I'm wrong, refute what I've said - WITH FACTS,
not urls.
I see a pattern here.

So do I - you either skim and accept claims, or you don't understand
the facts behind the claims well enough to evaluate the claims you
read.
I never come to you and say you are wrong about anything.

I post something, and you "the debunker" comes telling me that I am wrong.

Because most of the claims you post ARE wrong, as your claims about
the above urls are. Stop posting incorrect claims and I'll stop
pointing out that they're incorrect.
You do this without taking the time to do a stupid Google search...

No need to do a Google search on something I've been familiar with for
years. The fact that it's on the internet doesn't make it correct,
and all claims to the contrary wrong. If you think appearing in
Google makes a claim correct, that's one of the problems - your
gullibility.
your mind is programmed so much into wrong beliefs that you cannot even
accept the notion that what you think you know is wrong.

What I think is always subject to correction - what I know is subject
to correction when I see proof that I'm wrong. Posting a link to a
web site that doesn't even claim what you say it claims isn't proof
that I'm wrong, John - it's proof that (at best) you don't understand
the subject.

But if you think what I posted above is incorrect, post the facts that
prove that it's incorrect. Anyone can make claims - let's see facts.

sorry I dont want to get into a lengthy debate...

you are entitled to your opinion... and I respect that.

Well, that's one problem - you think the facts I present are my
opinions, and your opinions are facts.
