OT: How many flash card readers in XP?

Does anyone know if there is a limit of the number of USB flash card readers,
either single or multi-slot, in XP? I happen to got my hands on three 4 slot
multi-format (CF, SM/xD, MS, SD) readers but I seem to only get one installed.

I found my problem. Two of the multi-slot readers have the "exact" same
hardware ids (??) when they are connected. As soon as the second unit is
detected, the configuration in Device Manager is screwed up. The second unit
is detected as the first unit.
