OT: Hotmail/Windows Mail Expiration

D

Dave

Hi, if I set Windows Mail or Microsoft Outlook 2007 to handle a hotmail
email account, will hotmail take note of the account activity or would I
have to sign in to the webmail service in order to prevent the 120 day
inactivity period running out?

TIA

Dave

I've just found out that using hotmail with outlook/outlook express is no
longer supported with the free version so I'll have to sign in via the web.

Cheers Anyway

I started to use Outlook for all my mail because if this. There is a Web
Connector for Outlook, which speeds up access to Hotmail accounts.

The new windows live mail beta also works with Hotmail.

Yes, but it has an awful toy-like interface, IMO. It also had adverts on
the beta version that I tried out (about last February).

The newest version of WLM does not have any advertising.
However, I find it quite useless as newsgroup reader. So,
I have no use for it since I use Outlook for email. OE was a
better newsgroups reader than WLM. I use Thunderbird for
newsgroups, it is so much better than WLM.
