OT: DSL vs. Proxyconn?

Hi, group. I hope nobody minds this question but I just don't know who
else to ask and there are a lot of computer experts in this newsgroup.

I've been getting and seeing ads by Proxyconn.com who claims they can
speed up my dialup web use. I was thinking of getting DSL but would
seriously consider just using Proxyconn IF it works as it is much cheaper.
My only concerns are that it doesn't work and that it is a form of
spyware.

Does anyone have any experience with Proxyconn or any other similar
companies claiming to speed up dialup web surfing? TIA

Haven't had any experience with this app but in general they don't work..
most of the work using your cache memory... which can be a pain in the
butt.
