OT:Anyone using TalkWorks win WinXP?

E

Edward

I know that Symantec's TalkWorks Pro is a discontinued/non-supported
product.

But since installing XP I have downloaded and tried no less than 6 similar
products and they are all mostly junk.

If anyone here is successfully using TalkWorks with XP pro please let me
know. I am "pretty sure" that I can install it as a standalone without
WinFax. It was part of the
WinFax cd originally and I know that version on WinFax is incompatible but I
only need the TalkWorks feature.

Is there a web site maybe that answers compatibility questions regarding
specific programs such as this?

Thanks so much in advance,
Ed

TalkWorks was discontinued before WinFax Pro was, so it doesn't
include the latest versions of WinFax. The information we've been able
to compile about Outlook 2002/WinFax is located at
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/utilities/winfax9.htm. You can use
that as the basis for trying to get TalkWorks to work for you with
Outlook 2002. I use WinFax Pro with Outlook 2002, I stopped using
TalkWorks a while ago and never tested it on Outlook 2002, so I'm not
sure how successful your efforts will be.
