OT and urgent request: security certificate matter

R

Roman

I purchased Live OneCare as an antivirus program. This program slowed down
my computer so much that the program was uninstalled. Then, I purchased
Norton 360. Norton 360 seems to be better. But I am getting a serious
problem with Norton 360 but I have no idea where to ask.
The problem has to do with Yahoo email page. I use IE7 for Yahoo. After
the installation of Norton 360, I was not able to open Yahoo email page.
After typing in username and password, it prompted an error: There is a
problem with this website's security certificate. So I am now unable to
read or send email from Yahoo. Could someone advise me how to fix this
problem. TIA. Craig

Wow, you went from one of the lowest rated antivirus programs (OneCare)
to another horrible one (Norton). If you can get your money back, I'd
uninstall Norton and install something better. Recommended programs are
NOD32, Kaspersky, and Avast (free).

Uninstalling Norton:

Corporate Edition 9.x client from Windows NT/2000/XP/2003

Security, Norton AntiSpam, or Norton Personal Firewall (2006/2005/2004
versions)

If you want to keep Norton, here are links to help you:

What's in a Name?

After much thought,Roman came up with this jewel:
I purchased Live OneCare

sorry for your luck.
Then, I purchased Norton 360.

Glutton for punishment eh?
I use IE7

You should post in the IE newsgroup

Here is a workaround.
Install Thunderbird and YPOPs! Now you can get your mail using a real
email client!

Remove Norton.Request refund.
Install AntiVir(free version).
Install Firefox as default browser.

Happy surfing!
