OST File Errors

I created a new OST file in Outlook XP off-line and did not sync. I now
cannot open my Outlook at all off-line or in network (Exchange). I get an
error stating that I must sync at least once before opening Outlook. There is
an existing OST that I can revert back to, but without being able to open
Outlook, I cannot reimport it. Is there a registry hack that I can do?

If you did not sync, the .ost file is not ready to be used offline. You
cannot "revert" to or import a previous .ost file because .ost files are
tied to specific profiles. If the old profile is still there, then start
Outlook with that profile. If not, you may find it easiest to start with a
completely new profile.
