Os usage report

N

Nicholas

Windows 98 has been out for over six (6) years now.
Windows XP has been out only about 1 and 1/2 years.
It's only logical there would be more Windows 98
users than Windows XP users at this point in time!

Not to mention that the "stats" the op posted were just the different os's
of users that went to that website. It only shows users that hit the site
and in no way represents what's really out there. If more xp users hit that
website then xp will look like it has more users. Useless information and a
double posts as well............ (sigh).........

The information is 6 months out of date and covers a Report time frame June 29, 1999 12:08 to January 25, 2003 18:44. The first 2 years is before Windows XP was released so comparisons are meaningless!

Some statistics with more meaning but which may not be representative:

There may be a way to find out how many people use xp compared to win98, but
that page just tells you, out of the people who goto that website, this is
the OS they are using. If you don't goto that website you would never get
counted. It's only usage stats for that specific website.

Are you saying there is no reliable way to tell which operating system
is used the most?

If thats the case, sorry for the postings. I thought it was reliable.
