OS reporting wrong number of processors

We have 4 HP/Compaq DL380 G3 servers with quantity 2-2.3 GHz Xeon Processors
in each. W2000 Server SP3 system summary reports 4 processors, as does the
performance monitor in task manager. What might cause this? Without
thinking too hard about it, it seems as if it could cause a performance
issue is the OS is not handling it correctly

Are those Hyper-threading CPUs? If so, and hyper-threading is
enabled, you'll see 4 processors...

Well I guess that I will have to look that one up. I have not run accross
this before and and not up on the latest processor technology, but I suspect
that is it. I did figure that with the 4 machines exhibiting the same
behavior and all of them running well, that I did not have a problem.
