OS Choices Menu with XP and ME

Vaio laptop with XP on D drive and ME on C drive. Formatted D drive to
remove XP but the OS Choices Menu continues to appear on boot. I have
unsuccessfully searched for a boot.ini file on all drives. How can I get rid
of the OS choices menu now that the laptop only has one OS installed and
operational?

Go to Start > Run and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter.
Click on the BOOT.INI tab and then click on "Check All Boot Paths"
to delete incorrect boot paths.

I have already done that and then I ran search on the entire computer again
and there's no boot.ini. I'm assuming that's why I don't have a boot.ini tab
in msconfig.
