Boot menu issue with ME

Laptop with XP on D drive and ME on C drive. Formatted D drive to remove XP
but the OS Choices Menu continues to appear on boot. Unsuccessfully searched
for a boot.ini file on all drives and there isn't a boot.ini tab in msconfig.
How can I get rid of the OS choices menu now that the laptop only has one OS
installed and operational?

As mentioned in reply to your previous post - boot.ini is a hidden file
located in the root (C:|). Go to folder options and under view - clear
options to hide system\OS files then do search.

The boot.ini file is a hidden file. Go to the Control Panel and double-click
Folder Options in Windows ME. Select "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and
uncheck "Hide protected Operating System files". Now you should be able to
see the boot.ini file in the root of the C drive, (c:\boot.ini).

Modify the boot.ini file to:

[boot loader]
timeout=0
default=C:\
[operating systems]
C:\="Microsoft Windows"

I cleared that option already. Other hidden files display but boot.ini does
not. I'm assuming that's why there's no boot.ini tab in msconfig.
