I cannot get this card to run on WIn XP Have tried everything. Apparently the drivers for this card are supposed to be bundled with XP. Tried to install drivers from manufacturers website and no success. Found this on another thread:

"Make sure the Wireless Zero Configuration service is
started and set to automatic. This would be listed in the
services.msc. Click Start, Run, and type "services.msc".
Open services and scroll down to Wireless Zero
Configuration Service, Start the service and set it to
automatic.

I cannot find an entry for "Wireless Zero Configuration Service" in services.msc utility

try these

1. in Start/Run type
C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs

2. run regedit and find

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WZCSVC

add a DWORD entry named "Start" and value "2"

Hi Philip,

Can you elaborate on the registry entry? I'm not sure what to do. I have limited experience with the registry keys

thanks,

You may have the best intentions, however, I strongly urge people not
to run reg files or exe files from strangers. This is how viruses and
exploits are spread.
