I want to save stationery or pictures that are inserted in Outlook email,
rather than placed as attachments. It saves everything as a bmp and does not
keep the original file name or file type. How can I save with the original
file name? Is there a default setting that needs to be changed? When I use
gmail, it kept the original file name, but has now begun stripping all of the
backgrounds from my email completely.

Also empty your Temporary Internet Files before trying to save a picture. You
should then be able to save as jpg instead of bmp.
