Options

This is a bit strange--I have Word 2002 on my computer at home, running on XP
Home Edition. I can't find Options--it's definitely not under Tools, where it
should be. The Word programme I use at work (2003) has it under Tools. Am I
stupid or could it be somewhere else?

Make sure that you are displaying full menus: Look at the Options tab of
Tools | Customize (the exact words used in the command is different
between different versions of Word).
