options excel toolbar on IE

Hi everybody !

I develop an intranet web site which shows excel documents.
I want to open an excel document on an IE browser and still get the
excel toolbar.
Is there a way to force the browser to show the Excel toolbar as it
appears in
Excel application ?
Or is there a way to customize the options of the excel toolbar on the
IE browser ?

I would really appreciate any help in this matter!
Thanks in advance

There's a setting in Windows that you can change. (I use win98, so it might
slightly be different for you.)

In win98, I can do this:
Start Windows Explorer
View|Folder Options
File Types Tab
scroll down to MS Excel Worksheet
Select it
click the edit button
There's an option to "browse in same window". Uncheck it.

That's where you can toggle the "confirm open after download", too.

Thanks a lot for this answer, but I have already read the microsoft
paper about "Open Office Documents in the Appropriate Office Program
Instead of in Internet Explorer". It is not what I want to do. Sorry if
I was not clear, but english is not my natural language... :(

I would like to open office documents in IE 6, with the excel toolbar
in the browser window.
My problem :
In Excel application, when I open my excel document, the Graphic Box
does not appear.
In my intranet on IE6, when I open the same document (which was
registered in a BLOB in an oracle database), the excel document appears
in the browser, but the Graphic box appears everytime... I uncheck
Graphic in the view options menu (always in my IE browser), so in the
current window, it disappears. But, next time, it will appear again.

Users do not want to change the view options everytime they consult an
excel document on intranet.
Is there anybody who know how to customize these options ? In excel or
in ie options ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

I'm out of my depth, but I always thought it was open in excel or open in MSIE.

And when I open in MSIE, I don't get the toolbars I want. So I've changed my
settings.

I'm not sure if you can customize MSIE to do what you want,

Sorry.

Thank you very much Dave for your reply.

I have Windows NT4, and I think I have not the Windows Desktop Updat
installed, because the "Browse in same window" option is not available
So... :(

I have thought it was possible to customize the toolbar in MSIE
because the graphic box disappeared on my browse (after man
experiences). But I don't know how...

Is there anybody who has any idea ?
Thanks !
