optional hardware updates help

How do I know whether I should install an update that shows up in "select
optional hardware updates"
The following shows up and I'm not sure if I need it or not... I don't even
understand what it is
I've search at the microsoft help site but can't find anything...
any help appreciated

General Rule - if it is NOT Microsoft Hardware - go straight to the
Manufacturer to get the driver - not Windows Update.

thanks for the reply...i feel like a dodo...but I will check the
manufactureres site :)

And if after updating from hw manu.site winupdate still shows driver
available, ignore it.
