After 2 days of testing, my conclusion is that it sucks.

Really? Why?

I found it to be light, fast, and visually pleasing. If it had adblock
and flash-click-to-play, I'd probably switch from Firefox, although I
*love* Firefox.

Maybe I am just partial to FireFox also. Opra reminds me of a 1950
Mercedes-Benz. A very well refined piece of shit.

I like firefox also but opera is faster on my box. I'm going to keep all 3
but probably use opera as my main browser.

I used FF for a couple of years before getting tired of the lack of
functionality in the bookmark manager. I switched to Opera and I'm
glad I did. There was one or two features that I missed from FF, but
can't remember what they were now.

Thanks Old Gringo. This seems to work better than FireTune.

When I clicked on 'Install Now', nothing happened. Suggestions?

Perhaps this might work:

Open Firefox. Select Tools. Select Options. Select Web Features. Ensure
that there is a checkmark beside "Allow Websites to install Software".
Click on the Allowed Sites button. Ensure that there is an entry for
addons.mozilla.org in the list.

Now when you click to install an extension from this site it will install.

If the above doesn't work then try this:

Right click on extension's "Install Now" button on the webpage and
select "Save Link as ...". Choose a location on your HDD to save the
file to, and press save. Open the File menu in Firefox. Select "Open
File". Navigate (if necessary) to where you saved the extension (hint:
it's file extension is .xpi). Click Open.

This one worked, except that I just dragged and dropped into the
extensions box. :-)

Thanks!

My sites open fairly fast in Firefox. My problem is that the browser
itself takes so much longer to open that does IE or Opera. Any help for
that?

After 2 days of testing, my conclusion is that it sucks.

After one day of testing I found it has a place on my box.

I love the way I can click on the "links," select and download the
entire directory without a hassle. With FF it was one file at a time
and FF doesn't always get it right.

For instance, I found a directory on the "way back machine" site.
They archive other defunct urls. Very useful site for stuff
disappearing from the web. A lot of the links provide the way back
url followed by the original url. FF insists on linking to the
defunct url and truncates the first part of the address (the still
active url, and part of the entire address).

The FF work around consists of copying and pasting the location of the
directory, then typing each file name in separately. Compare that to
highlight and download all 50 files in One OPERAtion . . .

FF still numero uno, but I like Opera and will use it more.

What can I say - no brand loyalty here, I'd use Internet Explorer if
it worked well and was user/security friendly, and not a piece of
utter feces foisted on us by M$.

Your milage may vary.
