James

I have a need for a decent calendar. Currently I'm running WinXP Home
with the SP 1 and Office 2000 Standard. I've always used OE but would
like to try Outlook 2000 which comes, of course, with the Office
Suite. Is it worth installation and what patches would I be required
to download? I should also mention that I have NIS 2004. Thank you.

Yes, Outlook is a better choice for a calendar program. The
patches necessary, depends on what your Office install version
is currently at. I believe Office 2000 is already at SR-3 level.
Actually, there is a Windows Update equivalent for Office that
will examine your install and recommend necessary patches.
