I am starting a fairly large project where I could use a powerful grid
control. I have looked at Xceed and DevExpress and both look really good.
Do any of you have experience with these or any others that you might
recommend? TIA

If this is a WinForms project then Janus GridEx is a good choice for bound
data and FarPoint Spread for unbound data.

Well, I'm generally a "roll-your-own" type of guy, but I can certainly see
the usefulness of ready-made controls. I have on occasion bought some of
XCeed's products and found them quite well-built. So, I could recommend them
as a company.

I just wanted to point out that we have a complete suite of evaluation
versions of all our Windows Forms components for download here:

So feel free to make up your own mind. ... As a side note, it's not been
too many days since I was "just" a Developer Express customer, and I've
been a satisfied user of the controls for years.
