Operation has been cancelled

I get this message everytime I try to close out a window
in Internet Explorer - Operation has been cancelled due
to restrictions in effect on this computer, contact
system administrator. The only way I can exit is to
force quit. Help!!!

Gale,

This is caused by a Group Policy restriction which has been applied against
Internet Explorer called NoBrowserClose. This is there basically to prevent
the browser to be closed. The following article give you a little further

Are you connected to a network? Which is applying a group policy?. If you
are these settings probably can't be changed, if you not then post back and
ill walk you through how to switch this off.
