I have the following:

XP home edition, HP color photo printer, Kodak dig cam with Easy share
software. When plugging in SD card from camera to printer, EasyShare
software comes up ALONG WITH Adobe Photo Album 3.0. All picture files are
associated with EasyShare, which is what I want. I want to disable that
photoalbum from coming up when a card is inserted to the printer. Currently
BOTH programs start up. I do not want to uninstall the photoalbum, but I can
not find in that program how to diable it and wondered if there was a place
in windows in which to tell it to not start up automatically.

Hi Kim

Either use msconfig to deactivate startup items
- Start - Run : "msconfig" go to Startup Items and deactivate the software.
You can activate it later if needed.
Or go to windows registry and remove the keys

Start - Run: regedit
Navigate to the folder Run and on the right panel delete the software keys.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Thank you for replying, I too thought of MSCONFIG but if I disable it via
msconfig or regedit - will that disable the program totally unless I manually
turn it back on to use it?

Thanks,,
