Opens minimized only

Hi, not sure which newsgroup this post belongs, so forgive
me if this is not the one....

Have Word XP installed on a laptop. Until recently opened
to full screen. Now when Word opens, it opens in Minimized
mode.

I have tried right-click to select Maximize from the
shortcut menu. I've tried using application.windowstate =
wdMaximize from the vbe window - the vbe window does open
to maximized state. Tried Alt+TAB.

Any ideas or suggestion appreciated

Hi,

this is just embarrassing <<hand smacking forhead>> the
laptop has been set to dual monitor. The Word window was
dragged to the second monitor. When the laptop was
restarted, the second monitor was not switched on.
