Something has changed! I can't open documents in Power Point any longer. What
should I do. I click on Open and the program locks up. I tried using contol +
O and the program still locks up. I tried reinstalling the program, but that
didn't help either.

Are you up to date with service packs?

Is there an error message?

What version of ppt?

John,

I'm not sure what a service pack is.
No error message comes up -- the hourglass simply stays on the screen, but
nothing ever opens.
I'm using Microsoft Power Point version 2002
Thanks for trying to help me!

Service pack is a microsoft update. Go to help >about microsoft ppt and it
will tell you the version . You should have sp3 = it will read something like
"Microsoft PowerPoint (106501.6735) sp3

I'm guessing you have Windows set to download and install updates automatically.

Choose Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs
Look for the the service pack: KB908531

Remove it and restart your computer. Does that help?

SGSok - if your searching for this make sure that you have "show updates"
ticked in the add/ remove control panel window otherwise you wont see it.

Thanks for the email Steve, see you in San Diego!
