When I open Windows Explorer in XP everything is collapsed except My
Documents (default?). I would like to open Windows Explorer with only drive
C and D open. Could some kind soul provide the correct path to accomplish
this for the target line? I suppose the answer is somewhere in Microsoft
but 30 minutes of searching failed to find it!

Thanks very much for your help.

Open Window Explorer, choose Folder Options from the Tools drop down menu.
Clice on the View tab and select as you wish.

Bob,
This target line should be closer to what you want
explorer.exe /e,/select,c:
That expands My Computer.
If that's not it, post back.

Actually, I prefer having a shortcut to the HD (C) on the desktop. I usually
start navigating from there.

I have changed it so that it opens with My Computer expanded. This is good,
but I would really prefer that Drives C and D also be expanded. Shortcuts
to the drives are also useful, but I like working with the "tree" instead.
Thanks for your ideas and help.

We are making progress -- this path opens My Computer and drive C but not D.
Anyway to open both? Thanks.
