Opening/Searching folders

Dear All,

Does anyone know how to change the default viewing form
with Windows XP Professional?

Example of situation... When opening "My Documents" if I
double click on a folder to open it, it opens in a search
window! For some reason this has become the default as
when I right click any folder Search is in bold rather
than Open.

Hope this make sense.
