Opening Powerpoint95 files in Powerpoint07

I currently have a number of old powerpoint95 files saved on a website that I
need to convert to run on later versions as I can't open them with
Powerpoint07. Is there any sort of batch program that I could run to convert
them or is it a case of opening them on a pc running an older version and
saving them as an 03 file or something?

You will need to use an earlier version (pre 2003 SP3 if possible) but you

If you only have 2003 SP3 there is a registry hack available
