opening PowerPoint from emails

I'm mystified. My old computer opened pps files within emails without any
trouble. My new computer refuses to recognize the pps or a ppt extension.
I've tried everything. Saving the attachment works but having to reopen them
with so much fiddling around, puts me off when I don't have the time.

Can you please help?
 
All is well. I found and tried Sonia's little Registry Fix program and it
WORKS!! Yippee!!!! Thank you, Sonia!! :))
