Opening new browser window

For some reason, I am not able to open up separate browser windows when I do
not want to navigate from one that is already open. I've just noticed this in
the last few days. When I have the IE6 browser open and want to go to another
site, the new site takes the place of my previously opened window rather than
giving me a new one. Can anyone suggest what I need to do to to correct this?

Have you tried this?
Tools-Internet Options-Advanced.
Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts"

Thanks, I tried this, but it still is not allowing me to open a separate
window...just uses the window already opened causing me to lose the website I
initially started.

Any added toolbars? (Yahoo for instance)
If so try removing them.

Bingo--that was it, Yahoo toolbar. I think I had already disabled it in my
add-ons, but I either forgot or didn't think about going to Add/Remove and
removing it from there. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
