Opening multiple windows

As of Friday I could open multiple windows in IE. As of
Monday, I no longer can. I get a message that 'IE has
encountered a problem and needs to close' and that's it.
I haven't loaded any new s/w or done anything since Friday
but turn the computer back on. Any ideas?

This may not help, but may worth a try.

In IE go to Tools/Intenet Options/Advanced and check your settings under
'Browsing'? Especially "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts"
