Opening Links in Emails Received

When I click on a web link in a received email, nothing happens. This is
Outlook 2003 with Word 2003 as email editor. Clicking on a link in a Word
document or in a browser page does take me to the linked destination page; so
the issue must be with Outlook, probably a configuration choice I can't
figure out.
 
Is this a new problem? Have you recently installed Office 2003 SP2?
