Many applications can open .jpg files. If all you want is a free viewer that
will associate itself to open when you click a jpg try http://www.irfanview.com/ and download Irfanview free.
Are you receiving an error message? I use irfanview and all images should
open. Sounds like an underlying problem. Try using the MS Paint program
located at Start > Programs > Accessories, or System Tools, I believe it's
in Accessories. If you receive an error, exactly what does that error say.
Does the file have the extension .jpg? If not, you have to open 'Folder
Options' in the Control Panel, select the 'View' tab, uncheck 'hide
extensions for known file types', click OK. Right-click your .jpg file and
select 'rename' & add '.jpg'.
