opening images on the same page

How do i set up a hyperlink which opens up an image on the same page
 
You can do this with frames. Your image will appear in the
other frame.
 
Just do a 'disjoint' image swap. Put a dummy image on the page (one that is
basically background), and apply a swap image behavior to your trigger to
swap the dummy image with the real one, so to speak.
