opening files

R

Rob Schneider

Tmp files are temporary files. They are created by programs when they
need temporary storage space. The developers of these programs did not
intend them to be opened and useable by people. There are no programs
associated with Tmp files. If you are really curious about them and
want to look at their contents, open them with something like Wordap or
some other program that can open binary files. Normally, you will see
undecipherable junk ... it all depends on what the program wrote. They
are of no consequence. You can clean up old temp files (for those
programs that don't cleanup themselves) with XP's disk cleanup too.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
