I have a user requirement for links to Excel spreadsheets to open in the
native application i.e. Excel, rather than a browser window emulating Excel.
Can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to achieve this ?

Thanks
Steve

The user needs Excel on their machine - or the free Excel viewer - the
default way is for the document to open "in" the browser window but it is
actually being opened by the native application. (like with PDFs - they are
not being displayed in the browser, but in the PDF viewer application).

Only possible if it is a Intranet or a group of users that can modify their registry to allow Excel to open instead of the browser
version of Excel
