opening eml files

Hi,

I have programmatically built an email (form body and attachment files
that were previously stored) and written it to a .eml file.

I doubleclik on it and OExpress opens the file. The body look ok but
the attachments are not recognized, they can be seen in the body:

X-Display-Name: jjjj

Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name=winmail.dat
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=winmail.dat

I tried opening it with Outlook 2000 but it does nothing. When I
associated eml with Outlook 2000 and doubleclicked, it opens it but
putting the whole file as an attachment in a new email I am suppose to
send.

I have some questions:
- Is it normal OE not recognizing the attachments? Or is probably my
error?
- Should O2000 be able to open the email?

Any ideas?

thanks

Hi,

I'm trying to do exactly the same thing: save a message as
a .eml file, so that users can later open the thing up
using MS Outlook.

Could you post the entire .eml file, with all the headers,
so that I see what headers are needed?

Thanks so much,
Iain
