When I attempted to open an email attachment, I received ethe followinhg:
This file does not have a program associated with it for performing the
action. Create an Association in the Folder Options control panel.

When I went to the Folder Options foler I did not find an association for
..eml . I inserted it anyway but have not been succesful in opening the
attachment. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The usual association for ".eml" is "%ProgramFiles%\Outlook
Express\msimn.exe"

1. Save the EML attachment.

2. Right-click on the saved attachment > Open with > Select Outlook Express
(MSIMN.EXE) and check the "Always open with..." box.
