opening email attachments

Guest

when I try opening an attachments when they are attached in an email, I must
first save it to the computer, then open it. If I try to open it directly I
get a message like this- "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\(file name here) could not be found. Check
the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct."

any ideas?

thanks, c

See this article for possible help:

Cannot Open E-Mail Attachments in Outlook Express After You Install SP1
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;329570

If you are using Outlook Express, for a better, faster response, post this
issue to the OE newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress
or
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...ws.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress&sloc=en-us

Try totally deleting your TIF per this site:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

If no joy, recreate your OE identity as described in the Resolution section
of this article:
