Hi Gundam :)

You do not tell us the version of Windows they are using, so I will have to
guess at a suggestion. Try the following and see if it helps:

E browser software defaults Acrobat Reader to "OFF" to display PDF files.
You can restore the setting to"ON" by finding an Acrobat document and then
opening it.

Then click Edit> Preferences> Internet> check the box next to "Display PDF
in browser"

If still no joy, try the information here:

http://www.colba.net/~hlebo49/files.htm

or....

Register pdf.ocx files:

The path to Folder Options may vary according to your operating
system. It may be:
Explorer-View-Folder Options
Explorer-Tools-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Folder options.

Installing the Adobe Reader should set it as the default for .pdf

Hope this helps.

Just reinstall adobe acrobat again and see if this solves the problem.
By reinstalling, you are effectively associating all pdf fles to adobe
reader.

I have the same case as Gundam, the attachment (only PDFs, not other format)
on the server should be opened with the IE by the attachment link, but it
prompts to my local document folder and say the file could not be found. I
already opened Active X in IE. When I downloaded those PDFs to desktop and
opened by the IE, it works fine. What happens?

Hi help :)

If you have the same problem, have you tried any of the suggestions provided
for the OP to see if they willl work for you?

If you did and they did not work, please start a new thread of your own
stating your specific problems and we will address them there, for your

Hope this helps.
