Opening email attachments which were forwarded

Sometimes an email is forwarded to me (from a known
address) which was forwarded several times before reaching
me. To open the attachment I, several times, have
to "open" the file just to get to the actual message.

Is there a way to bypass all this and just get to the
actual message/picture/video etc.?
