opening documents

How to set Word to open all documents in "print layout" view and not "read
layout" view? Also, is there a way to keep the annoying "search results"
window on the right to not open also?
 
1. Clear the check box for "Allow starting in Reading Layout" on the General
tab of Tools | Options.

2. Be careful not to Alt+click.
