opening blocked "x" pictures

I have unchecked two security boxes in Tools/Options which should allow me to
open the "x" marked pictures, then closed Windows mail, reopened Windows Mail
and I still unable to view pictures. Any suggestions?

Are you sure the pictures are actually attached?
What happens when you send yourself an email with pictures?

It is quite possible that your antivirus program is doing the blocking.
Which antivirus program are you running? McAfee and Norton are not
compatible with Windows mail.
