Opening attachments

I recently converted from OL2002 to OL2003 with the installation of SBS
2003. Using OL2k2, when someone sent an e-mail with an attachment, I would
get the warning screen about opening the attachment, etc., but the screen
would give me the option to save the file *or* open it. After changing to
OL2k3, when attempting to open the attachment, I get *almost* the same
warning window, but there is no option to open the file, only to save it to
disc. What a pain to save the file to the desktop, minimize all windows and
go find and open the file!!

I have tried to use several Com add ins to change the level of the
attachments from Level 1 to 2, but this doesn't address the problem, as the
attached files I am trying to open should already be in Level 2 (doc, xls,
etc.) The type of files I am trying to open are not listed in the Level 1
type of files, so these add ins don't work!

Is there a setting to bring back the option on the warning window to *open*
the file rather than saving it to disc???

Yes, remove the the save extensions from the list. When you add save
extensions to the Level1Remove list you'll "upgrade" them. When you remove
unsafe extensions to the Lvel1Remove list you'll "downgrade" them.

Looked at that---the list generated by the Options and Attachments add in
program doesn't contain the .doc and .xls extensions that are the problem.
This doesn't seem to be a Level 1/2 issue...

Double check the registry key to make sure.
