Hi. I am running outlook 2000, and when I got an attachment with the .txt
extension, I cleared the check box in that said "Always ask before opening
this type of file", and now when I double click on an attachment with a .txt
extension, it opens without displaying the opening mail attachment dialog
box. How can I get it so the dialog box appears again for attachments with
the .txt extension? Thanks.

You can change the prompts for message types by going to Control PAnel->
Folder Options-> tab File Types
