opening attachment sent from excel spreadsheet file to outlook express

Help! How do I open an attachment that was sent to me
from excel (spreadsheet) to outlook express email? I am
running xp home edition. Thanks!

In Outlook Express
Tools>Options>Security

Uncheck
"Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened"

XP Home Edition is an Operating System.

To open Excel files you need to have Excel installed.

If you do not have Excel you can use a viewer to view and print but not edit.

Do you get errors ?

Try this

Tools>Options>General uncheck "Ignore other Applications"
Exit Excel and try again
