Opening Attachements in Outlook 2007

I recently upgraded to office 2007 and since then I have had problems opening
attachments in Outlook.

1. Every time I try to open any attachment it takes forever to open (up to
2-3 minutes). I never had this problem with my previous version.

2. Every time I try to open an attachment that is a word document it changes
the resolution on my screen to 800x600 pixels. This only happens with word
documents.

3. Sometimes when I try to save an attachment it will say initializing the
root folder and it takes anywhere from 2-5minutes to initialize

Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello,

provide the details about the latest changes you made to the computer
- like installation or uninstallation of programs.

However try these steps and let us know ( send me an e-mail )
open outlook in safe mode ( outlook /safe)
check what happens.

disable your antivirus program and check ( your anti virus program
might be scanning the attachments and that may be the problem as
well )

Does it happen to any of the office applications attachments also
( Test it by sending an e-mail to yourself )
