Last month I posted a question about how to open an html file on my
local disk from a Powerpoint slideshow - ppt rendered the path in a
way that my browser could not interpret it correctly. (Message-ID:

Thanks to PPT Magician and Steve Rindsberg for their suggestions!
In the meantime, I stumbled on a very easy solution, which I wanted
to pass on: create a shortcut to the html file, and then create a
hyperlink to the shortcut in the ppt file. Works like a charm!
Clicking on the hyperlink to the shortcut activates the shortcut,
which then opens the file in a browser window as desired.
